This section addresses some of the most frequently asked questions and explains how we safeguard the information you entrust us with.

What personal information do you collect about me?

We collect the following information about you at various points throughout your user experience, depending on whether you are a messenger or a user:

      • Location
      • Name, Address, Postal Code, National Identity Card number or Passport number, Date of Birth/Age to confirm identity
      • Phone Number and Email Address
      • Payment card number, Payment card expiry date
      • Banking information if you are a messenger who needs to have funds deposited into bank
      • Purchase history
      • Customer satisfaction info and Opinions about products and services
      • Messenger’s license number to verify messengers

Please be aware that Duthaya’s servers do not store any sensitive information. Our secure payment processing application, which is hosted by a third-party, receives the payment card number, expiration date, and banking information directly.

When you visit our website, we also collect the following information:

      • information about your computer, such as your IP address, the type of operating system and browser you are using, and the location of your computer
      • which pages of our site you visit and which links you click

Why do we need this information?

The main reasons we collect personal information from you are:

      • Because our software asks for it
      • Customer relationship management
      • Customer service
      • Delivery services
      • Marketing
      • To complete a sale/transaction

We may disclose your information to another company if it is necessary for any of these transactions. For instance, when you register as a messenger, we transmit your banking information to our third-party payment processing application, which uses it to deposit customer payments into your account. Additionally, we share your name and address (which may be your home address) with a messenger to complete a delivery, a marketing agency, or customer service representatives.

Sharing of Personal Information with Third Parties

Occasionally, we will share your personal information with other companies, including but not limited to the following: third-party payment processing applications for all monetary transactions, Marketing firms, third-party contractors with demographic and geographic information.

We use Google, Facebook, and other third-party providers to serve advertisements and provide analytics on our behalf across the Internet. These entities may collect information about your use of the Services and other websites through the use of cookies, web beacons, and other technologies, such as your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and conversion information. Duthaya and others may use this information to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of particular content, deliver advertising and content tailored to your interests on our Services and other websites, and gain a better understanding of your online activity.

Additionally, we will disclose your personal information if required to do so by law.

How do you get my consent?

By utilizing our services as a messenger or a user, we assume that you consent to our collecting and using your information for the aforementioned purposes.

If we request personal information from you for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will either obtain your consent directly or provide you with an opportunity to decline. Saying no is referred to as “opting out.” By opting out, you can direct us not to collect and/or share your information with other companies.

How do I opt out?

You may unsubscribe from promotional communications by following the instructions contained within the communications. You may choose not to provide your location to Duthaya, but this will result in Duthaya ceasing to function, as it requires your location to provide services.

Can I ride along with my messenger?

Duthaya has no insurance policy to cover passengers and is not a taxi service. Both messenger and passenger are advised to proceed at their own risk.
