All employees in the private sector contribute 8% and 12% of their monthly salary and employer’s contribution, respectively, to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), which is available to the employee upon retirement (retirement age of 50 years for women and 55 years for men).
However, it is possible to receive pre-benefits before retirement, and this article covers how to obtain a 30% upfront benefit from the EPF. The 30% pre-benefit of the EPF is given only for housing purposes or medical treatments. It is not a loan and does not require repayment.

To qualify for this benefit, the following criteria must be met:

  • Currently employed
  • Contribution to the EPF for a period of at least 10 years
  • Should possess a balance of at least Rs. 300,000 in their EPF account

The duly completed applicants’ funds will be credited to your bank account within three weeks. The maximum amount that can be obtained under the 30% pre-benefit payment is Rs. 2 million (Rs. 2,000,000).

Obtaining 30% Pre-benefits from Employees' Provident Fund (ETF)
  • 30% pre-benefits will be paid from Employees’ provident fund for housing purposes or medical treatments.
  • Should be presently employed.
  • Contributions to the Employees’ provident fund should have been made for a period not less than 10 years.
  • Should possesses not less than three hundred thousand rupees to the credit of the member’s EPF account.
  • When your booking is accepted, We will reach you via phone and/or email requesting details.
